Vetting this for a parent? Start here.
Everything you'd want to check before anyone signs: license, permits, cancellation rights, and the written contract, in one place.
If you're the one vetting this online before your mom or dad signs anything, this page is built for you. Real specifics, no hand-waving. And once your parent is ready: take a day or take a week, then show your kids.
This opens your email app with the key facts pre-filled (license, price, cancellation rights, and the phone number) so you can review or share it. Every written quote also ships as a printable PDF you can email to family.
The questions you'd ask anyway
Is the license real?
Every page on this site prints our licensing status plainly, including this one: FL License CCC1337068. Ask us for documentation any time, before or after signing.
Is a permit actually pulled?
Yes, on every job. Permits are public record with the local building department. You can verify a permit was pulled for the address once the job is scheduled.
What are the cancellation rights?
Florida law gives your parent 3 business days to cancel a signed home-improvement contract, no reason required. We state this in writing on the contract itself and bring it up ourselves. See our FAQ for the exact mechanics of how to cancel if it ever comes to that.
Is there an actual written contract?
Yes. Price, scope, materials, permit and product-approval information, warranty terms, and the cancellation notice are all in the same signed document, delivered by DocuSign or paper mail. Nothing is agreed to verbally only.
Can the price change later?
No, not without your parent's written approval. The quoted price is locked into the contract. If our crew finds something unexpected once work starts, we stop, explain it, and get written sign-off before anything changes on the bill. See our full price-lock guarantee.
Does anyone show up uninvited?
No. Quotes are given by phone, based on satellite measurements, with the contract sent electronically or by mail. The only time a crew is on-site is the scheduled install day, at the time your parent agreed to in writing.
Want to sit in on the call?
You're welcome to be on the phone when we quote or explain the contract to your parent. Just say so. There's nothing in our process that depends on your parent being alone on the call.
Track the project together in The Book
Once your parent signs, anyone they invite can see The Book, the live line-item budget for the job. Change orders are approved in writing, in-app, with the price shown before anything is confirmed. Easy to check on from out of state.
Ready to have us call?
You or your parent can make the call. Either way, the process is the same.
